Project Informational Meeting Notice
Crow Street Water Main
The Town of Berryville plans to begin work on an important water main project on Crow Street in the month of July. Town staff will hold a meeting to discuss this matter with interested parties on June 20, 2024.
It is expected that construction activities related to this project will commence on or about July 8, 2024 and take three to four weeks to complete. The water main project will include the steps and actions listed below:
- Cutting asphalt along the path of the main installation.
- Excavation to install the main from South Buckmarsh Street to South Church Street.
- Installation of the 8” main and necessary appurtenances, including a fire hydrant.
- Backfilling the ditch in which the main was installed.
- Testing the main.
- Installation of base asphalt in the ditch line.
During the project, business owners, residents, customers, and the traveling public should expect the following:
- Regular work hours for the construction crew will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (extended hours will be established as needed).
- On-street parking will be restricted as required during operations.
- Eastbound traffic will be prohibited during operations.
- Noise, vibrations, dust, and other disruptions generally attendant to construction activities.
- Planned and unplanned water service interruptions in the area.

- A project presentation, including improvements planned to be completed subsequent to the water main project.
- Collection of contact information that will assist the Town with updates and notifications.
- Question/Answer/Discussion.
- Wrap up by Town staff.
