[ARCHIVED] Input sought regarding changes in Town Code

The Police and Security Committee has reviewed Chapter 4 (Animals and Fowl) and Chapter 10 (Motor Vehicles) and discussed changes to both chapters. The Committee directed staff to post both chapters with the changes discussed on the Town’s website and invites the public to provide comment.

With respect to Chapter 4, the primary proposed amendment concerns the allowance of keeping backyard chickens with certain provisions within the Town of Berryville. Concerning Chapter 10 the primary proposed amendment concerns no longer requiring the issuance and display of a motor vehicle tax decal for vehicles garaged and kept within the Town limits.

The public is encouraged to comment on these two chapters of the Town Code. If you wish to comment, then please either submit your comments in writing to townclerk@berryvilleva.gov or appear at the January 2018 meeting of the Berryville Town Council. The January Berryville Town Council meeting will be held on 9 January 2018 at 7:30 pm in the main meeting room of the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center.
