[ARCHIVED] Halloween Announcement

The weather forecast for tonight includes the potential for high winds and rain during times designated for trick-or-treating in the Town of Berryville. Parents and guardians should utilize their best judgment when making a determination to take their children out to celebrate the holiday. The established trick-or-treating hours for October 31st , 06:00 pm – 08:30 pm, will remain the same so members of the community are prepared for the extra pedestrian traffic in their neighborhoods.

Those that do venture out tonight should pay special attention to footing as downed wet leaves increase the potential for slips and falls, especially when wearing a costume. You should also be alert for overhead branches that may be susceptible to falling as a result of the winds. Please make sure that you have lights or reflective materials on hand to increase your visibility and always check for traffic before crossing any street. Have a safe and Happy Halloween.
