[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Town of Berryville Curbside Refuse Collection, COVID-19 Related Changes

Town of Berryville Curbside Refuse Collection

COVID-19 Related Changes

March 31, 2020

The following changes have been made in the Town’s refuse curbside collection service because of COVID-19 related challenges faced by its collection contractor:

  1. Collection of Toter Contents Only – Bags and other waste left outside of refuse toters will not be collected. All waste must be contained within a toter.  No additional toters will be issued.

According to the Town’s contractor, this measure is necessary to limit employee exposure and to reduce collection time.

  1. Collection of Bulk Waste Suspended - There will be no weekly curbside collection of bulk waste.

According to the Town’s contractor, this measure is necessary to limit employee exposure and to maintain core operations.

These changes are effective March 31, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice.

Please note, neither recyclables collection nor brush collection are affected by these changes.
