Water service interruption will be necessary in order to install new valves on a water main that supplies service to your residence or business. This interruption will occur on Friday, January 29th 2021 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please note these times are approximate and may be extended, depending on working conditions.

Areas affected are:

-Byrd Avenue

-Josephine Street-East of the railroad tracks to Jack Enders Blvd.

(Including Josephine Street Apts. and Berryville Graphics)

Once the service is restored, you may notice air in your home’s water pipes, or cloudy water. If you experience either of these, then run the cold-water side of your faucets until the water clears or the air dissipates.

Helpful hint: Filling your bathtub with several gallons of water before the interruption may help with some household needs (for non-potable water) during the outage.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will restore water service as soon as possible in the affected areas.  If you have any questions, you may call the Department of Public Works at 540-955-4843.
