[ARCHIVED] REFUSE AND RECYCLABLES COLLECTION

A winter storm has been forecast for our area over the next several days. This winter storm may affect this week’s refuse and recyclables collection.

Refuse and recyclables collection is delayed when either the regional landfill closes or collection crews are unable to complete their routes safely. Accordingly, the decision to delay collection services is not generally made on the basis of a forecast.

Any delay in refuse and recyclables collection will be announced on the Town’s website as early as is practicable on Thursday and Friday.

It is recommended that refuse and recyclables be set out for collection and retrieved if a delay in the collection is announced.

Please take snow-plowing activities into consideration when placing containers for collection.
