[ARCHIVED] Water Service Interruption Notice: Thursday, September 28, 2023 - 11:30 a.m. and midnight.

Water Service Interruption Notice

for Thursday, September 28, 2023

Affected area: those residents in the Town of Berryville that are east of the railroad tracks on East Main Street

A water service interruption will be necessary in order to make an emergency repair on a water main that supplies service to your residence or business. This interruption will occur on Thursday, September 28, 2023 between the hours of 11:30 a.m.  and midnight. Please note that these times are approximations and may be extended, depending on working conditions.

Once the service is restored, you may notice air in your home’s water pipes, or cloudy water. If you experience either of these, then run the cold-water side of your faucets until the water clears or the air dissipates.

Helpful hint: Filling your bathtub with several gallons of water before the interruption may help with some household needs for non-potable water during the outage.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will restore water service as soon as possible in the affected areas.  If you have any questions, you may call the Department of Public Works at 540-955-4843.
